Spatial Reasoning Tool

Constellation / Creative Algebra

A spatial reasoning and prompt-generation tool for mapping influence, tension, alignment, and missing centers.

Problem space

Many project problems stay fuzzy because the relationships between values, constraints, people, ideas, and decisions are never made visible.

Project response

Constellation is a spatial reasoning tool for mapping influence, tension, alignment, clusters, and missing centers before turning that map into prompts or next moves.

Current shape

The current version is a browser-based tool for arranging concepts and generating prompts from the relationships between them.

Design decisions

  • Start with relationships rather than a linear outline.
  • Use space to make influence, opposition, and proximity easier to inspect.
  • Let prompts emerge from a map of the situation instead of from isolated instructions.
  • Keep the tool close to the Creative Algebra practice of naming tensions, constraints, and transformation lines.

WIP status

  • It is not yet optimized for mobile; the current proof is best understood on desktop.
  • A guided sample state that shows when Constellation is better than a normal prompt.
  • Consistent naming between Creative Algebra, Constellation, and editing.help.
  • A public explanation of how spatial reasoning supports client work.

How it connects

Constellation shows the perception side of the practice: some work cannot be clarified until the relationships inside it are visible enough to reason with.
