Support Subtextual’s independence, with twice the AI. A membership, not a donation.
With Manage… in Subtextual’s Settings → AI, which opens Stripe’s billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges, and Subtextual AI keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
There are two ways within 14 days of a charge. Write to info@editing.help, and that charge is refunded in full, no questions asked. Or delete your account, and the charge is refunded automatically, minus the AI you’ve already used. This automatic refund happens once per person. See the refund policy.
Yes. Subtextual AI is sold through Link, Stripe’s reseller, which handles sales tax or VAT for your country. The writing app itself is free everywhere.
Anthropic’s Claude Haiku 5.5 by default, or Claude Sonnet 5.5 if you choose it in Settings, which uses about 20 times more of your replies. Both come through Subtextual’s OpenRouter account, with no prompt retention or training. Your writing is never used to train AI. See the privacy policy.
Subtextual AI includes a monthly allowance for everyday writing. If you reach it, you can add more replies in Settings, or AI pauses until your next billing date. Your writing never stops.
